1. Safety and Health Officer
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and practices for the plant.
Inspects and reviews the company’s operations regularly to ensure compliance and conformance to safety and health policies, management systems and legislation.
Investigate industrial accidents to determine causes and propose preventive measures to Management.
Organise and participate to all relevant safety and health meetings.
Advise and coordinate occupational safety and health programs including campaigns, trainings and briefing to employees, vendors and contractors.
Coordinate and liaise with relevant authorities to ensure that any occupational safety and health matter is attended to and resolved promptly.
Assist to complete necessary documentation and application.
Perform other duties and tasks as required by the Management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Environment / Health / Safety), Industrial Safety or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years related working experience in automotive / manufacturing environment. Registered Safety and Health Officer is preferred.
Well-versed with local legislation requirements and having good contact with the local authorities i.e. DOSH, DOE and BOMBA.
Well-versed with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements.
Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.
Applicants must be willing to work in Alma / Valdor, Penang.
